Cryptocurrency exchange ErisX has hired three veterans from Barclays, Youtube and the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) to fill executive roles at the company. The company announced the development in a February 7 press release.
According to the release, Robert Thrash, who spent the last 12 years at Barclays as managing director and global head of futures execution services, will serve as chief operating officer for ErisX.
Former creator of YouTubeTV, Arnold Connell, was appointed as head of infrastructure, while John Denza will be ErisX’s new business development executive. Denza was the director of U.S. Sales Equities and Derivatives at BATS Global Markets/CBOE.
The latest hires are part of the exchange’s plan to establish itself as a clearinghouse for digital assets. Joseph Lubin, the founder of ConsenSys and co-founder of Ethereum, joined ErisX’s board of directors in January.
