In a previews article we understand what is mining. Now we are going to explain how to mine Monero
Mining is an easy procedure but you need to be very careful. When I started mining for first time I discover that the drivers of my graphic card is not compatible with my Ubuntu 17.04. That was a reason to install the version 16.04 of Ubuntu. Just for reference the monitor was black.
That is a good reason to aware for your version of your linux operating system. In case that you are using another linux operating system you got lot of chances of going wrong the procedure of mining.
Before we start we need to create a Monero Wallet from https://mymonero.com
First Stage (Install and run compiler)
Install the drivers of AMDGPU-PRO (click to see how to install the AMDGPU-PRO and after that AMD APP SDK (click here to see how the pdf documentationClick here to go to download page. I will not explain you how to do it. This is very clear from AMD website. I will repeat my self and mention you DON’T FORGET TO CHECK YOUR LINUX VERSION. Also an other important notice is that you need to have up-to-date the 16.04 version of Linux. Otherwise you will have a lot of issues and your screen maybe will not showing something.
When you finish with the instuctions of AMD you need:
1) Install Git (if you don’t already have it)
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git
2) Install depencies
sudo apt install libmicrohttpd-dev libssl-dev cmake build-essential libhwloc-dev
3)Download through git xmr-apk which is the software which will helpus on mining
git clone https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak.git
4) Create a folder to run xmr-stak
5) Create configurations of Mining
If we need to run the same time our graphics card and cpu we need to run the following command
cmake .. -DCUDA_ENABLE=OFF
** cmake .. -DCUDA_ENABLE=OFF: means that we will not run the mining through an Intel graphics card. Our graphic card is AMD. If we ignore this instruction you will receive an error
If we need to run only the GPU we will run the following command
cmake .. -DCUDA_ENABLE=OFF -DCPU_ENABLE=OFF
We have already Compile so now we need to run our miner
Now we need to run the software

When you run the software, you will be asked a lot of questions. On your address you need to put mine.moneropool.com:3333, or another server which lets you to start mining. In username you need to put your wallet addres. Also will ask you other questions and the answers can be found from the pool website that you want to use.
The questions will be the following:
1) Currency: ‘monero’ or ‘aeon’
2) Pool address: e.g. pool.usxmrpool.com:3333 pool.supportxmr.com:5555
3) Username (wallet address or pool login): 462zaPZJX3fbtAHtnjxpKJF9HBhK68qoTBchiDKNZmb1gE7Ub9aVCGkQopFJABioUihUUqKXnZd4hiDPSXivgCaKNm1Spg4
4) Password (mostly empty or x)
5) Does this pool port support TLS/SSL? Use no if unknown. (y/N)
6) Do you want to use nicehash on this pool? (y/n)
7) Do you want to use multiple pools? (y/n)
To check your monero balance you need to do it through your pool. In our example we used the website mine.minepool.com. If we visit this website at minepool.com , then we will see how many monero we have mine. The pool to send the monero to your wallet must exceed a number of Monero.
